Kingdom Love
By Jaroslav Vasicko
The one that uplifts
From downward down-drifts,
From doubtful seasons,
Defying reasons.
Defying our best thought
Spoken of or taught,
Deafening white noise
Calming of distraught.
Calming of rough seas
Until the blind sees,
Until the dead rise,
Pleasing to disease.
It’s one that speaks life
Makes peace in all strife,
Such love that covers
Your back and frostbite.
Of wisdom, foresight,
Inside of insight,
The very heart of God,
Infinite bright light.
All-catching in weakness
Humble as meekness,
In moments of blunder
Enlightening thunder.
Softness of petal,
The gold of gold medal,
Inviting upwards,
Past voices that settle.
It’s there to build up
Press through the build up,
Of defenses’ fences,
Hurts and offenses.
The one that brings smiles
In desperate dark trials,
To tears through makeup,
Turns cheeks and makes up.
It’s there to love you
Nurture and ground you,
Down to soul level,
Bedevil the devil.
Is known as freedom
Reminds where you came from,
Allowing for mistake
For each one to remake.
Some call her reckless
Pearl of pearl necklace,
The hope of glory
Unblemished, speckless.
