Arresting Fears (Endless Love)
By Jaroslav Vasicko
Put all my fears, in arrears,
dear Father of mine,
remove old blocks, reset clocks,
please show me you’re kind.
Make all my fears, disappear,
before I choke or drown,
you promise rest, so let me dwell,
In Your presence lie down.
Please break these chains,
lift this curse, on my knees I beg You,
tired, torn, how much more,
can this body endure.
Having fought a bloody fight with the enemy,
with the thief that comes only by night,
to steal, destroy and kill.
My soul it wants – and take my peace –
he has already done so,
Your mercy, grace, is all that’s left,
Your divine light and glow.
Or myself, did I wrestle with,
in the muddy pits?
Digging deep to find, try let go,
that which no longer fits.
And is it love that I am looking for
and have been this whole time?
You say yes, a good guess,
O’ sweet child of mine.
Arrest my fears and the evil one,
imagined or real,
cover me with endless love,
its warmth let me feel.
